“Committing yourself is a way of finding out who you are. A man finds his identity by identifying. A man's identity is not best thought of as the way in which he is separated from his fellows but the way in which he is united with them.” ~ Robert Terwilliger
“One day our descendants will think it incredible that we paid so much attention to things like the amount of melanin in our skin or the shape of our eyes or our gender instead of the unique identities of each of us as complex human beings.” ~ Franklin Thomas

And that is why I love crayons. Each has it's own name and identity. But they managed to live together.. :)
Now, I'm curious about Humphrey. And so envious on that body. I hope i could sculpt myself soon. :)
@ ACRYLIQUE: Ask anything you want to know about Humphrey and answer shall be given to you :-D
Sure i will... :)
Is he painter? a writer? What happened to JP? :)
@ ACRYLIQUE: Yeh, Humphrey is a painter, a frustrated writer, singer and a dancer. He used to swim and row. He has lots of ideas in his head but needs to be asked before he can bring them out. He is one of those guys with happy, positive attitude who do not sweat the small stuff and try to see the brighter side of every situation. He is very social and loves spontaneity.... very adventurous but sometimes prefer slow and quiet environment.
JP is still around, still known to some people ... but Humphrey just came out and hopes the world is ready for him.
Humphrey wants to share a trivia: He likes using acrylic for the sheer plastic quality of it when it dries. and up until now, he is amazed how acrylic emulsion, when used as a finish, enhances the color of an acrylic paint. This proves to show that Acrylic would need an emulsion to enhance and protect its finish :-D Agree?
Wow.
Now there are things I can relate to. +
First, orange and green in any shades are my favorite color.
@Humphrey - Why not post your paintings? So eager to see them.
Secondly, about the swimming and rowing. haha. I was born in a fishing village, half my life I was breathing and sleeping with fishes and bancas.
Third, it's really nice to that there's a growing number of people i can share with happiness, positivity, optimism and a laid back attitude. How about narcissism? :)
Probably JP might have crossed paths with A. Haha.
Way to go Humphrey!! Welcome to the bright and COLORFUL heavens. :)
Btw, why Humphrey? :)
Lastly, the trivia. I so AGREE. :) That's the wonder of acrylic and emulsions.
They should always be together. Applied acrylic wont last long without an emulsion. it's beauty won't be enhanced without a protective matte or glossy finish. Emulsion is the acrylic's sunscreen , the protector. :)
When will you start painting the sky green and blue with orange clouds?
@ ACRYLIQUE:
I was deciding to pair green with compliment red or split compliment orange... I chose the latter to give it sort of an an adjacent feel.
narcissism? I got that one too but I learned not to put much attention on it unless I am all by my self :-D
so you used to be a fish? heheh kidding! Our house in the province has a river beside it so I learned to swim at a young age. Then I learned about swimming pools and sports clubs :-D I learned to roller skates during 3rd grade.
Who is "A" anyway? Tell me more about him .
Why Humphrey? That's just the way it is. it can't be more real than that.
I will try to post a blog with acrylic, emulsion and fish and lots of colors for you.
Thanks for staying close :-D
